The library is situated in a corner of the campus. It was built in 1989, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Daido Educational Institutions and the 25th anniversary of DU.
Its unique design and advanced building techniques, appropriate to the library of an institute of technology exquisitely match the other buildings on the campus, giving the library a friendly ambiance.

With its outer appearance featuring a curve expressing a boat on a vast expanse of ocean and its interior that is well designed with arches, curves, and colors, the library provides visitors with a comfortable and relaxed environment.

There are a total of 387 seats on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors in open spaces, enabling students to concentrate on their reading or studies.

An open-stack system is adopted at this library. Visitors are allowed to freely take out and read books from the bookshelves without following any procedures for permission.

The number of books is currently over 170,000, containing technical books and magazines in the fields of technology, natural science, and liberal arts. Over 1,900 serial publications such as magazines and bulletins of the institute, and publications from both inside and outside of Japan are also owned.
