The
Chinese Academy of Sciences is a great research organization
known as the center of China's scientific studies, having
many institutes in various fields.
DU has partnerships with the institutes
of Acoustics, Physics, and Electronics. Although recent exchanges
between us have not been very active, some of DU's graduate
school students conducted research at the Institute of Acoustics
in 1988, and instructors of both institutes visited each other
in 1999. (Signed in November 1988) |

Aachen is a beautiful city located along the border with the
Netherlands and Belgium with a population of 250,000. As some
advanced education institutes besides RWTH are also located
in the city, nearly 20% of the city's population consists
of students.
DU's Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department
of Construction Engineering have especially active exchanges
with RWTH.
At the end of last year, in commemoration of the conclusion
of the third academic exchange partnership, a lecture was
held at Nagoya International Center by a RWTH professor of
construction engineering. (Signed December, 1990) |
