To survive this rapidly advancing
information society, well-rounded human qualities and true communication
abilities are necessary as well as the ability to use, develop, and
apply computer hardware and software.
Many companies want people who are able to understand information,
write easy-to-understand manuals, and read and write technical English.
The Department of Computer Science and Art, School of Informatics
was set up to meet these demands. The main features of the Department
of Computer Science and Art are closely-supervised small class education,
differentiated classes and supplementary instructions according to
the level of proficiency, and the curriculum for the cultivation of
communication ability.
